project development - what the client can expect:
quality, easy stages and affordability!
Whether you're commissioning a site for your small business, a community site, or a larger commercial or charity website, we want the process to be an affordable, enjoyable, creative experience. That's why we have 5 stage development framework which involves our clients every step of the way:
1. We hold an initial meeting to establish your requirements, timeframe, level of input, and potential maintenance issues. We can do this by phone, email or face to face - see contact details. we don't charge for this initial consultation, but do charge travel expenses within the UK. Before commissioning a website, have a look at our 'issues to consider when designing a website' page
2. WEBDESIGNWORKS produces an estimate for the work, and factors in the approximate timescale and cost of delivery - fees will usually be calculated on an hourly or daily basis, unless we agree an overall cost for the job
3. Once we get the go-ahead, a standard contract is signed and we come back to you within ten working days with an outline workplan. If this is approved we can then progress to stage 4. If not, we will examine other options and alternatives
4. The final style and content of the your website is agreed, along with a firm date for going live. During at least some of the lead-in time to going live a working version will be available either on your company intranet, or in a domain which the client can access, but which is not accessible externally
5. Final adjustments to the website in consultation with the client in the few days before going live
